The Greater Scranton YMCA “Stingray” Swim Team is based on the YMCA principles of competitive swimming and character development values. We believe that everybody swims and everybody wins. Our Coaching staff is dedicated to emphasizing values through individual development in swimming skills, sportsmanship, leadership and team spirit.

The Scranton YMCA Stingrays are a fully sanctioned YMCA Swimming Program. We participate in the Penn-Del YMCA Swim League- “B” North Division, YMCA invitational meets, USA Swimming invitational meets, and for those who qualify, YMCA Districts, States & Nationals.

Text Box: Our Team Bathing suits are the same as last year. The Girls will be wearing a black Speedo Aquablade. The Boys will be wearing a black Speedo Aquablade Jammer. PLEASE CLICK HERE (For the link to Lane Four to order & pay for your team bathing suit. You will pay Lane Four directly with a credit card, & your suit will be shipped directly to you. When you get to the Lane Four website, you simply scroll down and click Scranton YMCA to find our team suits. The Girls suits are $60 The Boys suits are $50 Orders $75 & over have free shipping. So if you need goggles, bungee cords, etc., and your total order meets the $75 amount there is no shipping. Your shipping costs will depend upon the shipping method you choose. If your suit from last year is still in good shape & still fits, you can certainly still wear that. Older or more experienced swimmers focus on strength and technique while the experienced swimmer uses a combination of techniques that are focused on helping swimmers achieve their individual best.
